Controls
- First pull back on the Yoke - verify the stabilator in the
rear of the plane is moving properly
- Then, As you move the yoke to the right with your thumb
up...
... the right aileron comes up (your thumb points at the UP aileron)
Now check the left aileron...
You can check the proper rigging of the rudders, after you climb into the plane
(before you close the canopy).

We want to make sure these are functioning - but must still visually verify
fuel levels!!!

Flap indicator will be UP
Push down on the switch to extend the flaps to the full down position

To check your external lights - Switch ON the first from switches from left
to right
- typically we check the cabin lights only if we're going
on a night flight
(they are hard to see in daylight, and therefore
easy to leave on - which could drain the battery)
