Removing the Cover - Inside - Nose - Left Side - Fuselage/Empennage - Right Side

Fuselage & Empennage (Tail Section)    
Skin -------------------------check Scan the Skin & Rivets of the side of the airplane for damage
Antennas ------------------check There are 3 Antennas on the Top of the Airplane
There is 1 Antenna under the airplane (Marker Beacon)
And the VOR Antenna is located by the rudder
Access Panels -----------check Check for missing screws in the access panel under the belly of the airplane and also where the battery is located
Horizontal Stab ----------check The Tail Section is made up of a Vertical & Horizontal Stabilizers
   - Check the overall condition and hinge points for the Stabilator
   - Be sure to check both sides as you walk around the tail
Trim tabs ------------------check Anti-servo Trim Tab - Located on the rear of the Stabilator
Rudder ---------------------check Check hinge points, cables, and static strips
Skid Plate ------------------check Check connections and for excessive wear or damage
Tie down -------------------remove  

















Skin -
   - Scan the Skin & Rivets of the side of the airplane for damage

   - There are 3 Antennas on the Top of the Airplane
   - There is 1 Antenna under the airplane

   - Be sure to check the access panel under the airplane's belly


   - This is the access panel for the battery

   - Scan for any damage

Trim Tabs
   - Be sure to check both sides as you move around the tail

Rudder
   - When you raise the Stabilator, NEVER use the trim tab - Push Up on the hinge or the outer tip of the Stabilator


   - Inspect both Top & Bottom Rudder Connections & Static Strips
   - Inspect Rudder Cable for Chaffing & Make sure the Lock Nut is secure
   - Be sure to inspect the rudder cables on the opposite side

   - Top Rudder Connections & Static Strips


   - Bottom Rudder Connections & Static Strips

Skid Plate
   - Inspect connections and check for excessive wear

Tie down
   - Tie down should be removed from the Skid Plate (as far aft as possible - just in front of the bushing)
   - When connecting the rear Tie down, never connect it to the static strip


   - Be sure to connect the rear tie down only to the skid plate - just in front of the bushing


   - Never on the static strip
