A true flying lesson includes more than simply spending
time in the air. To provide the complete experience,
we schedule approximately two hours for your visit,
including comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight
briefings. During that time, you will spend up to
1 hour & 15 minutes in the airplane!
When you arrive at the airport, you'll meet your
instructor and head to the airplane for a hands-on
pre-flight inspection. During this briefing, you'll
learn a bit about the aircraft, some basic aerodynamic
principles behind the flight maneuvers you'll
practice in the air, and review important safety
procedures.
Once airborne, your instructor will demonstrate
the four fundamental flight maneuvers:
• Straight-and-level flight - Climbs
- Turns Descents
Then it's your turn. We encourage you to take
the controls and fly as much as you'd like under
the guidance of your instructor.
After landing, you'll participate in a post-flight
debriefing where your instructor will review your
flight, introduce you to our online training syllabus,
and answer any questions you may have about learning
to fly or pursuing a pilot certificate.
