What are the Age Requirements to Learn to Fly a Plane?

For the older pilots...
There is no maximum age requirement to take flying lessons - you are never too old!
Just like all pilots, you will need to be able to hold an FAA Medical to get a Private Pilot Certificate. Basically, if you are in good health, you should have no problem. You can learn more about this process on the following website: www.flightphysical.com

For the younger pilots...
We recommend you are at least 15 years old when you start taking regular flying lessons. You will have to be at least 16 to solo an airplane and you will have to be 17 years old to take the practical exam.

No matter you age, please consider coming out for an introductory flying lesson. You will get to fly your first time out here!

You can learn more about our range of introductory lessons and purchase one on our website using the link below. They are all designed for the first-time flyer, and are a great way to get started with flying lessons.
